Moses Templeton Farris

Moses Templeton Farris, father of John Robert Farris, great-grandfather of Moses Miles Farris and great-great-grandfather of Lee Farris. He was married first to Elizabeth L. Horton, with whom he had three children.He was married second to Emeline Esther, with whom he had no children. All are buried at Enon Baptist Church cemetery in York, S.C. Photo provided by Dale Cook, his great-great-great-grandson. Incidentally, one story floating around is that Moses Templeton's father, Moses, was married to an Indian woman. The elder Moses is said to have drowned in Illinois and is buried there. (Top)
